Art Events Intern

Sip This, a coffeehouse based in Valley Stream, NY, is seeking an Art Events Intern (non-paid) who will help create, manage and implement various art related events.  We are looking to work with an energetic, creative, and ambitious individual who will help us bring various art events to our coffeehouse and community.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain contact list (name, email, web address, phone, style of art, etc.) of artists interested in displaying their work.
  • Create, schedule and implement numerous art related events.
  • Help construct and deconstruct art exhibits.
  • Present cost estimates for each art event.
  • Present weekly updates on work they are performing.
  • Help publicize art events through social and print media.

 

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicant must be able to commit to at least 10 hours (non-paid) work per week on tasks related to this internship.  (Not all time spent on this internship will occur at Sip This)
  • Applicant must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate art program.
  • Applicant must possess exceptional communication skills.
